I teach traditionally and pass the information I have gained with great love, respect and joy. I have been using Reiki in my own life for many years now and it has taken me places I never dreamt I would go. When I first learnt Reiki I had no idea what it was or what it would do for me. Often people are drawn to do Reiki and if you have found yourself on this page, you are probably one of those people seeking the knowledge and wisdom that will help you achieve a greater sense of connection and a clear direction in life. Perhaps even you may be challenged with sickness or physical challenges and seek the healing properties of Reiki.
Either way I can help you learn Reiki. I simply teach the Usui Method, with love, in the manner in which I have been taught, which is traditionally over several days. Where are the Reiki courses held?
We have a choice of two venues available to suit all tastes Tsivouli Park Lithakia or Gloria Maris Hotel, Porta Koukla. Both are beautiful, special places. Please follow the links for details and photographs of the individual venues.
When are the courses held?
I don't arrange a list of dates as my courses seem to organise themselves, they are usually for a week but any period of time may be arranged. If you are interested email me and we can arrange a date to suit you. It might seem a bit strange but I always find that the right people end up on the right course at the exact right time. Summer retreats run from May through October, and winter retreats November through April.
How many people come on your Reiki courses?
The maximum number of people I usually teach at one time is six because I prefer to keep my courses on a personal basis. For larger groups please contact me to discuss.
How are the courses scheduled?
Your days are tailored to suit you and your requirements. Generally the mornings are free for you to spend time as you wish - relax, sunbathe, swim and explore the beautiful island and all she has to offer. Or pamper yourself with the choice of other therapies available to you: several types of massage, facials, hot stone with crystal energy balancing, Hopi ear candles, Indian head massage, Reflexology, manicures and pedicures, Tarot or Angel card readings. The choices are endless; we will ensure your experience of Zakynthos fulfils your dreams.
Can I use Reiki immediately after the class?
Yes Reiki is a skill you can use immediately. As I teach traditionally you are going to get a lot of information during the week along with a manual to take home with you.
What are the different levels of Reiki?
Reiki Level I - which teaches you to work 'hands on' with people who are present in the room. There are only two other levels Reiki II and Masters. In those teachings the energy becomes more refined. Level II allows you to work with people at a distance and you will be entrusted with 3 Reiki symbols. Masters allows you to teach and be entrusted with the Master symbol. That's all there is to Reiki - on one hand it is incredibly simple but on the other hand it is so deep you will keep learning for years after.
When can I do Reiki II?
I recommend waiting at least six months before you do Level II so the energy of Level I can fully imbed and you have practiced your positions and have a full understanding of the energy. The only exception would be if you have someone close to you who is very sick or in real need of help and you can't be with them in person.
What will I get from the week?
Reiki is very much a journey. Everyone always reports getting much more than they expected but find it hard to put into words what they actually got. You learn a technique but it is also a journey into self. One that asks you to become the best you can possibly be at any given time. If you get a strong sense you have to do Reiki, then it will be right for you and the right people and circumstances will come together for you to learn. Each time I teach it is different. The group energy determines a lot of what you take away and every group takes something different away in their heart. There are no guarantees of what you will "get" because everyone takes away something different from the experience. In general people take away a greater sense of calm, connection and inspiration to get out there and be all they can be. In a healing journey people have reported improvements in their health and wellbeing. Who can do Reiki?
Anyone with an open mind and a desire to be of service to themselves and others. It is a gift anyone can learn.
Do I have to work on other people and become a practitioner?
No, you can just learn to do Reiki on yourself and if that's all you do then that is just perfect. In fact that is all I did for the first few years of my Reiki journey. Not everyone wants to be a practitioner of Reiki but all my Reiki channels use their energy for good in many varied situations every day of their life.
I have heard Reiki is wonderful for children and pets?
Yes, indeed most children love Reiki. There has been some wonderful work done with children, who generally do not judge as adults do, so they accept the energy as something they recognise is good for them. Pets have an equally joyous time as they receive Reiki energy.
How do I know if Reiki is right for me?
Reiki is a journey and if it feels right for you to do my course then you will just know it's the right thing for you. I'm happy to speak with you and answer any questions you may.
Do you teach any other types of Reiki other than Usui?
Yes I can teach and attune you to several other types of Reiki, please refer to the 'about us' page for a full listing.
Is it possible for other family members or friends not wishing to learn Reiki to accompany me?
Yes of course and they are very welcome. Please contact me for information, availability and prices.
I would like a retreat holiday but do not wish to learn Reiki, can you help me?
Yes we can arrange a relaxing break for you without learning Reiki for yourself. We have many other therapies available to you: Reflexology, Hot stones and Crystal Chakra Balancing, Hopi Ear Candles, Facials, Hypnotherapy or Past Life Regression. Or relax into one of our massages, choose from: Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Shiatsu Massage, Tissue Massage, or Sports Massage.
