At the Gloria Maris we are able to offer different types of accommodation to suit all tastes: Hotel rooms (part of the main building) all having their own private facilities, piped music, telephone, and balcony. (Fridges can be hired at a small charge paid locally).
Studio apartments (situated below the main part of the hotel overlooking the sea) all having their own private facilities, a small kitchenette with a fridge, telephone and piped music and a terrace. All accommodation is double glazed with mosquito screens.
We can also offer two luxury suites both of which have good size balconies overlooking the sea and turtle island. These suites are very tastefully furnished with all comforts in mind. They have air conditioning, bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower, a mini bar and refrigerator, satellite television and a DVD player. (Prices are available upon request).
Gloria Maris Hotel has its own swimming pool with small pool bar, sun terrace patio with sun loungers and umbrellas. Steps in front of the hotel lead down to a narrow sandy beach which has sun beds and umbrellas. Just above the beach you will find the Tropics beach bar which is a real delight where snacks are available in the day time and in the evening this lovely little bar becomes a candlelit cocktail bar where you can enjoy a drink in a relaxing atmosphere with the sea just below you.

Porta Koukla is a breeding site for these beautiful endangered creatures.
The turtle is a powerful symbol. The Native Americans call their continent Turtle Island. The legend goes that once there was only water and there wasn't anywhere that people could live. Turtle made a very great sacrifice and let everyone live on her back. Thus she became the spirit keeper of the earth. When Native Americans enter into the darkness of a covered dome structure for the sacred purification ceremony called the Sweat Lodge, they believe that they are entering into the turtle, into the very essence of the Mother Earth. It is a time of spiritual death and rebirth.
